30. You know a couple of the big post offices could strike for three days and say

If you liked that, you will really like him defunding us and shutting us down.

New York and Philadelphia post offices went on strike around 1969??. Pay was bad until then. Nixon said you can't strike and if you do I'll use the National Guard to deliver the mail. New York and Philly said, Hold Our Beer. Nixon found out the National Guard SUCKED at delivering mail. And came around quick with signing a pay package to get the mail moving nationwide because New York and Philly had a lot of it fucked up. Those were WWII vets then. The postal service is still the largest employer of vets.
Trump might not want to fuck with them when it gets right down to it.

My dad was a letter carrier, that's how I know this basic story. So New York and Philly alone got the entire postal system a pay raise that brought their wages more in line with other segments.
