15. I hear you, and get it; however, there's an important tactic involved here.

That is, as soon as the VP pick is announced, every right-wing talking head will pivot to lambasting her, whoever it is. It will be 24/7 bashing, as usual.

Up to this point, the usual suspects (Hannity, Tucker, Rush, et al) have all spent airtime playing (absurdly so) defense of their Neanderthal figurehead, as he flounders about impotently in the face of a global pandemic, a cratered economy, dropping like an anvil in the polls, and a crumbling Republican Party that’s starting to distance itself a bit from His Majesty.

As soon as Biden names the VP choice, the right wing narrative will shift away from defending 45 to attacking the “radical socialist Democrat” that’s on the ticket with Biden.

While I understand the anger and frustration caused by holding off, the delay has been time well spent, in terms of 45’s image tarnishing even further with swing-state voters, where (thanks to the damnable and antiquated Electoral College) the 2020 election will be decided.

It's because of the Virus and not having the usual rallies and other events JI7 Aug 2020 #1
