Seems like you've been hoodwinked by MSM disinfo.

Here, Mother Jones has the real scoop. Micah White over at AdBusters may have helped name it, true, but the real genesis of the movement lies farther back than you might think(hint: there was something called the New York General Assembly):

Mother Jones is a genuine left-leaning paper and has a significant amount of credibility, so hopefully you can reconsider your opinions here.
