Compared to whom? Jim Jordan? Mitch McConnell? Was it the Mississippi Black cadence and aspect? He was scripted, so didnt make up what he said off the cuff. What exactly made him folksy and slow?

After he left Fox, wasn't he on CNN+ (streaming), which was cancelled due to lack of viewers?
