but always talking about it plants the seed in minds of people who weren't even considering who the Democratic candidate will be in 2024. That in turn gives way to doubts about whether Biden can or will run. At least we can wait until after the mid-terms to discuss it and even then, we should be praising his many accomplishments instead of implying he can't do the job because of his age.

Once that idea gets planted in the consciousness of the population, it is hard to change. It becomes the comedian's punch line and social media meme.
