(6,974 posts)Because they didn't have to be. The DCCC screwed up, and it didn't help that Patrick Maloney was on vacation when he should have been campaigning. A relative in Jamaica Queens told me this was going to happen, and darned if she wasn't right. Cuomo had a hand in this disastrous feud also. IF Biden could have gotten the house flat out. Now, I do feel that the GQP US Taliban Party could lose the house before 2024, because some of them were inolvment in Jan. 6th. ciil insurrection. It's meant for the country to see just how treasonous and how craen & hideous the likes of Marjorie traitor Greene, Gym Jordan are, because whoeer is house Speaker for that bunch of asses, they won't be able to control them beccause they're unhinged, evil traitors. Dems have to hammer on them on how THEY will stop inflation, just like they hammered Dems with that nonsense, especially duing this global pandemic and especially with all this price-gouging (ALL of the GQP voted against anti-gouging leglation) by these greedy CEO's who made reccord profits. The GQP don't know how to govern, and Dems really need to hang that around their necks like a loadstone every day.
Democrats May Lose U.S. House Because New York Dem. Leaders Were Too Focused on Defeating the Left
The balance of power in Congress is still up in the air two days after Tuesdays midterm elections, and control of the Senate now rests on three states: Nevada, Arizona and Georgia. Meanwhile, Republicans have not yet won enough House seats to regain the majority, though there are still over 30 House races not yet decided. Many analysts say if Democrats lose control of the House, it may largely be because of New York state, where Republicans have flipped four congressional seats. Sochie Nnaemeka, director of the New York Working Families Party, says the low-participation, low-energy election was the result of the Democrats failed strategies at the state level.
