They do that sort of shit here all the time. One of my friends has a niece whose daughter has been dolled up like that since she was a tiny baby. He shows me pictures and it's all I can do to hide my disgust.
IMO, kids are cute enough just as they are. No wigs or makeup or special pouts and poses.
The big surprise for the parents is when the beauty queen "got herself pregnant"* once she became a teenager and hasn't been taught anything except how to be sexy. One of my other acquaintances became a surprise grandpa a few years back after his daughter had been queen of every local beauty show. I'm guessing the baby is following in mom's footsteps unless someone wises up.
*Yes, every time I hear this, I inform the parent that it's biologically impossible for a girl to get herself pregnant. There is always a boy/man involved, at least at first, before the responsibility part kicks in. And these are the same idiots who won't believe in birth control or abortion.
But do tell about how drag shows are harmful to children, Republicans.
