Other than the public relations and diplomatic aspects of the US pulling all aid to Israel, what would the military impact be? Would it stop the IDF operations in Gaza?

According to the Council on Foreign Relations the US is currently supplying about 15% of the Israeli defense budget.

That is a lot - $3.3 billion USD. But it is nowhere near a majority of their resources. And much of it has already been spent by Israel on US manufactured arms.

My layman’s view says not giving any more money would not stop the current operations. In the future it might cause some scaling down of the IDF budget, or Israel could come up with the money in some other way.

15% is not a controlling interest. It does not seem to be enough for us to be able to force them to do what we say.

If we want them to change their behavior, we are going to have to do more than just pull funding. We are going to have to help convince their current government that shifting their strategy is in their best interests long-term. And that may be a hard sell given the current situation.
