My high school friend had to flee Ruidoso with her dogs [View all]
She breeds mini Aussies and poodle mixes as well. She’s a “liberal” cowgirl and I have two mini Aussies from her which has us reacquainted. Not sure who is more anti Trump me or her but she has to tolerate the southern NM trumpers (no easy feat.)
She did a trial run to make sure she could make it when the time came for evacuation.
20 pups 20 dogs safely evacuated to Estancia (east of Albuquerque).
I am so very relieved.
Said it was the scariest time of her life.
Over 20000 acres burned no containment and wind thunderstorms and lightning ahead.
Rain please without the lightning.
