I think Ohio might be in play because of Walz [View all]
I grew up in Ohio and served in the military. I worked horse and dairy farms growing up in rural farms and my father was a West Virginia hillbilly who sought a better life in the military and then the auto industry after serving 28 years in the Air Force and National Guard, much like Walz. His message and character resonate with me. When I first ready JD Vances book, I knew it was trash when all my friends said it was about someone like me (I eventually went into tech and now in cybersecurity for more than 15 years). Why was Vances story trash? Because he basically missed all the key points that most people in Appalachia have to deal with. Its not addiction by the way
its extreme corporate greed by mine owners who dont give a damn for the workers. My Uncle, who owned three mines, was good to his men and worked along side of them. I made beer runs with him on Fridays to bring his workers happy hour and he held a bbq every week for them. He made sure they all were taken care of and gave them good pay and benefits. Vances book reads like Munchausen by proxy the way he throws his mom under the bus. I hated it.
Anyway, I can tell Walzs story is authentic and he is the real deal. A common man for the people who not only understands the common mans plight, but appreciates the people and has walked the walk.
I am so excited for this and I can honestly say I have not been this excited for a ticket in my life. Obama was greatness. This ticket has legendary potential. I just maxed our contributions for the general and am planning down ticket donations. Lets. Fucking. gooooooooooo!
