That'd just be a way to save face and make liberals cry. They want to win at all costs, and fake polls don't really achieve that end. So, this doesn't wash. Big Lie Part I didn't accomplish much politically, in fact the opposite appears to be true. Fake polls generate some confirmation bias clickbait revenue and that's about it.

Assmusen and some other outlier polls are workiing overtime to skew the averages.
