Iran's Qader missile is an antiship, sea-skimming cruise missile weapon (that means it flies really low and has sensors in it that allow it to follow the contours of the earth) that can be launched from a truck on land. This means the Iranians don't have to hope the Other Side doesn't just...I don't know, maybe just give the lowest man on the ship's totem pole a pair of binoculars and a bazooka and have him shoot any floating mines he sees...or bring a minesweeper in to clear any mines that might be in the Strait of Hormuz.
