wrote. The other side of that is that countries like Syria, Russia, China, France, Germany, etc., all thought that Iraq had WMD and thought it a good idea to draft up fairly aggressive resolutions to try to force Iraq to accept the Weapons inspectors at the same time (within 72 hours) of when IWR was passed.
It's revisionist history to suggest "They all knew" but some folks are insistent on pushing that meme.
