7. People need to let this nonsense of them "being scared" go

this is just one more way the media, and this country, enables right wing fuck wittery.

There were three groups of republican senators who took that vote.

1) The ones who had some light in their souls and did the right thing.

2) The ones who have some light in their souls, but, yes, are so absent any moral fiber that they did not vote to convict because of political calculations. BUT, what needs to be said is that they are scared of the monster they created, through years, long before 45 came down the escalator, bullshiting their "base" into mush brained pods.

3) Those who have come to believe the bullshit they have spewed to their "base." The ones who are themselves pathologically deranged, hateful lunatics who want to remake America into a chrisofascist authoritarian state.

#3 is greater a number of times over than #1 and #2 combined.
