That he was going to win a whole bunch of state primaries going forward, which he did not do. The media latched onto the 'scream' (perfectly appropriate to the circumstances) and conflated it with his poor showings, and turned it into a meme.

That having been said, I'd sure like to see him in the primaries for 2016.
