not black but an Indian...the one with a dot, as they so crudely say.
Bush's mother doesn't want her and GHB to die on the family campaign trail or maybe she doesn't want to offer up any of the family's wealth...that it takes for a national run, is my take on that. I don't think Jeb will make his decision on that...no campaign issue there, and he has a very savvy Hispanic wife. He does have political baggage. I think if he decides to do it, he'll be strong. I also think the press will cut him a break, yet he's not been through the national press hatchet machine.
How I agree that it's probably going to be Ryan is all you said...and that he's already taken the heat of a national vetting and come out pretty well. His family is used to campaigning and the kids are too young to bring on any bad news. His wife has good vibes, too. I don't associate his name with any putrid scandals. He's smart, young...maybe a bit too young...but he has national friends in high places, is strong with the Republican Party, would be the best to maneuver the Tea Party and establishment. And he presents very well ... he causes me the most concern. His physical looks and physique, frankly, are what Americans want in a President.
The rest of them...I like the term "novelty candidates"...the me-me-me- type that want to hear people say their names, rub elbows with rich people, give them a few bucks, which makes them feel relevant.
The VP pick will be interesting. With a WASP for President and wife, they've got to do some token or showing for the "others", but who? Surely not a black person. So, likely a female Hispanic...Susana Martinez? Not from a big state to bring in electoral votes.
