(14,554 posts)26. It's fairly well documented that the filmmakers faced a lot of controversy over the
depiction of the 'devil' having an uncanny resemblance to Obama and they then suddenly decided to remove it. Also, the devil does actually play a part in the tale of Jesus, so the "focus was on Jesus' life with the New Testament" statement doesn't make a lot of sense here. That's part of the story. And ... Jesus isn't mentioned anywhere EXCEPT the New Testament ...
