The Ukrainian Rada passed a law in 2012 that implemented Russian style anti-LGBT legislation, but it was never signed by Yanukovych and didn't become law. The Rada was going to take it up a second time last year, but the protests and everything that has followed sidelined it.
The interim Ukrainian government hasn't made any statements one way or the other as to the laws future, but most of its supporters are still in power. The new president Turchynov has been an open supporter of anti-gay legislation and has openly called homosexuality a "perversion" (believe it or not, he's an anti-gay Evangelical Baptist preacher). These people are NOT pro-equality.
