Anger and hate are easy emotions to feel. It's much harder to be happy, feel happy and appreciative and kind.
I think so many of these people have sad, empty lives. It's drudgery. They get up, go work for the man and never get ahead. They may have nothing to look forward to, everyday is the same and it's boring and blah. But when you have a whole host of media sources telling you to be angry and hateful, that person actually "feels" something. An emotion, though toxic, they still feel something as opposed to blah and nothing.
