37. Oikos University: Private religious college. Pastor Korean, Chair of Board Korean, President Korean

School founded in 2004. I would bet to take advantage of new laws which allowed more private competition for federal higher-ed dollars and student loans.

Now why is this religious school run by Koreans?

My immediate knee-jerk thought is: The Rev. Moon.

Like that other recipient of federal education money, the guru Gulen, Moon has intelligence connections.

To what extent is the deregulation of education a scam to launder money and funnel federal dollars to shady actors?

Shepherd U also founded in 2004. Doesn't seem to have a proper website, but seems to also be Korean-run:

Shepherd U has the same address as Praise God Church! And the same address as OIKOS U!!

Not real thrilled about a "university" (Oaksterdam U, in another story today) to teach people the cannibis business, either -- not if it gets federal education funding.
