. . . rain is coming down and there are a lot of youth just waiting around to see what happens when the curfew starts.
There are some very defiant, and others doing their very best to convince folks to go home.
What is interesting enough for me to post now is that Cpt. Ron Johnson is on the scene . . . also, there is a huge police presence, many of them lining the businesses on both sides of the street.
These folks with their camera phone are giving as much of a narration of events as anyone and they are giving a pretty real and direct account.
They intend to stay until curfew and beyond - determined to stay and record events.
They've gotten themselves over to a roped off area that seems to be reserved for press. it's a safe zone, as long as there isn't incoming violence because many of the police are lined up behind them.
Many folks are leaving . . .it may be the rain.
About 40 min. until curfew is in effect . . .no one really knows what will happen, but there are still youth who are talking defiantly and there's a good indication they are armed. As some already know, it is legal there to carry open guns.
There does seem to be an exodus going on . . .
I love these youth . . . all of them, and i hope for the best . . .
please tune in to one of the live feeds and provide more eyes and ears to keep the actual account true and propaganda free.
everyone focus all the positive energy you can manage toward this town . . .

. . .definitely a case of my own ignorance and, in a part, my defensiveness at the time of the complaints about the links on this thread. I apologize for any hurt and offense I caused by posting the links and thank the posters who objected and dialogued with me on this subject for their input and information provided.
