In regard to Mrs. Clinton's current email controversy, I am reluctant to declare whether her actions were either legal or illegal. There are people on both sides of the issue already making hard and fast statements about it. Many of her detractors are saying that it was absolutely illegal, or even a felony. Some defenders are saying that she broke no laws or rules, and that this is all a furor over nothing. Since the law is often foggy about such things, I am reserving judgement. I am not a lawyer or legal expert. But, regardless of the situation's legality, it is certainly not good optics.
