(23,156 posts)59. Once, when my son was invited to a classmate's birthday party,
he insisted on making a book for his friend. I no longer recall the details, but I felt awful about it not being a "real" present, and afterwards apologized to the mother. She said, "Are you kidding? My son LOVED it."
Another time this same son insisted on buying a bag of toy soldiers, that cost maybe a dollar. Again, the kid who got them just loved them.
Proof that expensive presents aren't required.

I feel sorry for this kid, parents are real assholes. Clothing with names leads to kidnapping?

One year olds should be getting human milk or formula. It's the earliest safe age to begin weaning.
