screwed the pooch. Their reaction was completely stupid and is more than suspicious with regard to racism, or profiling, or bigotry. The way they seemed to be trying to scare Muslims or whatever their motive was, was beyond the pale.

On the other hand, the young boy was a tad naive. The engineering teacher was an idiot, he recognized the problem then did nothing about it. The English teacher probably showed some normal fear in this hyper-protective, violent, crazy world we live in, yet there is probably room for a better reaction and outcome on their part.

The police and the security personnel fucked up beyond belief once the clock was determined to be a clock.

Maher is right on one thing, people are suspicious of Muslims, no doubt. And to say that it is completely wrong is being naive, otherwise it wouldn't be so widespread. Is it overblown? For the most part, maybe. Do young Muslim extremists blow shit up and are there lone wolves out there that might want to go on a shooting spree or blow something up? Fuck yeah there are. Recent history proves that beyond a doubt. Are they 14?

Maher is no right-wing asshole, he is fed up with the tactics of radical Islam, as are many of us.
