a sufficiently bat-shit crazy Congress, anything is possible.

It does seem as if a lot of ordinary people originally opposed to it changed their minds once they got their own coverage, but there are probably still a lot out there who already have good health coverage through a job and who still don't get it.

And when you consider that almost every single person who votes for a Republican any more is simply voting against his own self-interest, it gets truly scary.
