4. There are certain elements in this country who need teen pregnancy

to continue. There are those who wouldn't have as many children to foster and adopt and raise the 'right' way. Then there is the cycle of poverty that teen pregnancy helps perpetuate, the kind of poverty that drives young people into the military. Also, if teen pregnancy becomes a thing of the past, there goes one more 'punishment' that can be visited upon those who don't adhere to fundy morals. A large reduction in teen pregnancy would change America and there are some who would have much to lose.
