48. This is a much more serious problem than it appears. When you see Win 10 as a recommended update

it has already been downloaded to your commputer with the installer and all the files waiting to be executed

Just like a virus hiding in the background waiting for you to reboot to trigger the install

If you go with the show me updates before installing route you will find Wind 10 'update' already checked

If you disable updates by going the never check for updates route the same thing will happen if you try to update in the future Win 10 will be on the list already checked

If you uncheck it and reboot it will show up again on the list already checked

This is because the entire Wind 10 downloader installer with all the necessary files are sitting in your programs folder without your knowledge

The only solution is to remove the Win 10 install files from your computer and block all future Win 10 updates from Microsoft

The following utility does that and appears to work after I installed it and rebooted and checked Win Updates three times The download is free and it works
