Black added: And on the economic side, they were all in favor of austerity. All in favor of privatization. Tried to do a deal with Newt Gingrich to privatize Social Security. And of course, were all in favor of things like NAFTA.
He's talking about the Newt Gingrich era in Congress. Stuck in the past. What he's talking about has zero relevance to people like Jennifer Granholm.

Black hasn't figured out that this isn't the 1990s, and that Bill Clinton isn't on the ballot, and that the DLC no longer exists, and that Newt Gingrich is no longer relevant.
