68. As awful as ISIS (and its abuses) is, the execution of innocent Americans in US states is worse.

For example, Cameron Todd Willingham - who may not have been innocent, but whose case had a lot of anomalies which threw his guilt into doubt of a sufficient degree as to warrant a commutation to something less than capital punishment. But no. They went ahead anyway and killed him - just for the hell of it, I guess. Oh wait, I guess then-governor Rick Perry claimed that Willingham was a wife beater; therefore, what? Is the logic, 'he's been violent, so let's just whack him while we have the chance.'

Let's do something about this kind of thing FIRST, because if our resources are limited, then let's focus on matters where expending them is more likely to result in an improvement.
