In reply to the discussion: Jeopardy! is saddened to share that Alex Trebek passed away peacefully at home early this morning [View all]PlanetBev
(4,416 posts)27. My best friend died of pancreatic cancer seven weeks ago
I dreamt about her last night and woke up crying.
Her cancer did not actually metastasize, but she seemed to go downhill after 11 months of chemo and radiation. She started having mini strokes and they determined that the lesions hadnt really shrunk that much. She passed away three weeks later.
I am sad because she was originally from Philly and would have loved to have watched her birth place bring it home.
Pancreatic cancer is just terrible.
