Every ad I saw here in Austin had attacks on Democrats for defunding the police. Biden was always a long shot to win Texas, but Democrats had an opportunity to pick up several state seats. They won zero. Their opponents just hammered them with defunding the police, and it made a difference. The concerns about the slogan came out almost immediately after the BLM movement used it, and many called for it to be changed immediately. I wish they had because I think it hurt us.
