(658 posts)Sure, he was speeding, as we all do from time to time. I believe he may have learned a lesson from his actions - he was seriously injured. I'm also very grateful that noone else was hurt and that's a really good thing.
But hate? Just because he's famous? Think about all of the non-famous people who have driven too fast on a road. I see flowers and memorials erected for people who have lost their lives along the roadways. I also see how people drive. The insanity is run-amok on the highway.
Accidents happen, especially to those drivers who may be driving too fast, or talking on their cell phones, or texting, or eating, OR PUTTING MAKEUP ON. I was rear-ended several years ago by a woman who was putting her makeup on. I was setting idle at a traffic stop when she hit me. She didn't even slow down. Luckily noone was hurt there either.
I once rolled a Jeep while doing 4 MPH. Yes, that's correct - 4 MPH. I guess I was driving way too fast for the conditions.
Accidents happen. To both stupid and not so stupid people.
