43. So what if their front page is set up to have highly charged text.

We live in a world where fascists are salivating at how well their disinformation campaining is working, without enough counterbalance like Raw Story provides.
I just went over there to look. Different headlines for their top stories include:

https://www.rawstory.com/

‘Gays for Trump’ leader wants Republicans to stop focusing on ‘stupid gray areas’

Trump has a plan to solve the White House's 'cocaine dilemma'

Kevin McCarthy faces the wrath of right-wingers again as he tries to get Pentagon bill passed

'I will be vindicated': MyPillow CEO scrambles to auction items as company’s revenue plummets

'A permanent white majority': Republicans engaged in hair-raising summer schemes — and Maddow has the receipts

Firstly, I don't see these headlines as much more sensationalist as most other news gathering sites. But if you do find them unnecessarily "emotionally charged languages and hyperbole", I would counter with the fact that not only is the actual news, in this era, sensationalistic at its source, but also unfortunately, the whole competitive world of web information sites dictate that to survive out there, they have a front page with more catchy headlines. You are obsessing on their business model rather than focusing on their contributions to getting out the stories.

Where do they not "let the facts do the talking"? They have a small staff of writers like Thom Hartmann and others. They link to their sources they don't write which are reputable. Are you saying that the news sources they link to, like MSNBC or Rachael Maddow, are not letting the facts do the talking? Links to the same source news links as a similar but different type of format site does, with the initials "DU".

The main point for me is that they are another source to spread stories that reflect a Democratic/Liberal/Progressive point of view. And were a pioneer in that field. We owe them a huge debt of gratitude for hanging in there and stayng alive even if it takes, what you perceive as overly "emotionally charged" headlines. Personally, I don't think the MSM is being emotionally charged as much as they should be, and still engage in too much normalization of the state of Republican party and threat of creeping Fascism.

This unusual and counter productive criticism of one of our own sites that gather and distribute factual news stories that are important to liberals of all stripes, for seemingly trivial reasons, I can only surmise is because of right wing misinformation and MAGA trolls that have been at work since the internet was up and the first liberal sites operated. The "vast right wing conspiracy" was already up and running when Hillary spoke those words back on the Bill Clinton presidential run. Its just sad to watch some Democrats fall for it.
