(41,871 posts)11. 6.0 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Near Napa, Is Felt Across San Francisco
According to a preliminary report from the U.S. Geological Survey, an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.0 struck at 3:20 PT Sunday morning.
The quake, the USGS says, was 6 miles south-southwest of Napa, and 8 miles north-northwest of Vallejo, California, and had a depth of 6.7 miles.
A quick look at Twitter (as one does) shows that people across San Francisco felt the early morning quake, including Appeal contribs and SF natives Violet Blue, who said I cant believe how long that earthquake was and Rain Jokinen, who said Uh yeah. That woke me up.
