Because they can't control their teenager "inner-beast" impulses to kill whoever they want and when they want.

Me thinks they're hoping to go meet their "promised" 72 virgins ASAP... otherwise, they would have to lay down their guns and surrender to justice... because they have no future in whatever sick fantasy they keep deluding themselves in.

Sad, but it is the only choices they have.
