We're all saying "I'm voting straight down the ticket all Democratic Party no matter what".

Because we have to do so. We know we do. So do they.

For my entire adult life (I'm an older Gen-X) the Democratic Party has known this. It's what allows them to move further and further right. "Centrist" now is all too often practically Republican of 35-40 yrs ago in many ways. Ostensibly to try to capture those Republican voters who are okay with the racism, sexism, elitism, ableism, etc of the GOP but lose their senses for a moment, just long enough to vote for Dem President. I have a feeling it's also much more lucrative for the Dem Party and its member politicians, since few corporate donors are going to be hanging out further to the left. And it's very, very stable. There's little risk to them or their political futures. We'll always need them.
