looked at is obviously much more dry and damaged (it looks horrendous, in fact!). But the Romney corn is not necessarily healthy either. Generally, most healthy corn is a darker, richer green and is taller than the corn shown in the pics. So while it is easily not as drought ravaged as the Obama corn, it most likely is not unharmed by the drought.

Here in the corner of Iowa where I live, most of the corn looks similar to the Romney corn. We are in a severe drought, and believe me, the corn is affected. A large area of the state is in extreme drought. I don't remember where the Romney visit was located, but the Obama visit is in an area that is in extreme drought. (Also, different varieties of corn handle the drought differently - some are not as drought resistant as others.)

The Romney visit is still a joke because of who the farmer was though!
