none of the charges had anything to do with theft. Clearly a case of trespass (refusal to leave). In case anyone is interested in what the real story is here --

The Berks County DA was asked to do an independent investigation -- did so, and took the unusual step of releasing a good deal of video of this incident, and a similar incident involving the same man several days prior. Here's the link:

Officers were dispatched Monday to the Walmart at 1135 Berkshire Boulevard for reports of the man weaving back and forth through the store's aisles on the bicycle, playing loud music, and yelling profanities at other shoppers, according to the district attorney, who said that the suspect was told multiple times by the store manager to leave, but he refused.

By the time the officers arrived, the man was paying for the bicycle, Adams said. He was then detained by the responding officers.
