(89,028 posts)36. Shoot - what DON'T I collect?
Well, probably the most enduring is my rock collection. I think I started collecting rocks when I was old enough to pick one up. Always fascinated by them. And if there are fossils in them, so much the better! I have one that a friend named the Oyster Stew Rock because of all the (what looks like) oyster shells in it. Ive got a rock from the top of Pikes Peak. Ive got one that has all these long slender air bubble vents in it. Got chunks of obsidian, and fossils, and quartz crystals, single and in clusters and many different color shadings. I took the best ones with me when we moved, and theyre in my garden now.
