(2,181 posts)58. Granola! Delicious, no weird chemicals, and lower in sugar than Cheerios
Heres a great recipe:
5 cups uncooked oats
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup broken walnut meats
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup wheat germ
1 cup shredded coconut
1 cup unsalted sunflower seeds
1 cup safflower oil
1/2 cup honey
1 cup raisins
1 cup courants
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine ingredients in bowl and mix well. Heat oil and honey together in a small pan until melted. Pour over dry ingredients and mix well. Spread mixture onto cookie sheets and bake approx. 20 minutes. When cool, add raisins and currants.

Brand name Cheerios. The non-brand name ones taste different. Not bad, just different.
