7. My laptop range is $300-$400

including the memory upgrade after I get it. Use them until death.

The dollar value of my gifts is small. On the other hand I completely paid for college for both my daughters (less some scholarship aid they received).

No jewelry. Target level clothes. $25 smartphone.

I do spend a fortune on my pets though.

I got my mother/wife/MIL flowers for Mother's Day. My wife and I don't buy large gifts for each other. Hand written notes, flowers, and occasional treat like a local theater production.
