(68,868 posts)Barack Obama is/was a young, tall, dark, handsome, hip, Christian, moderate Democrat, who came from a large mid-west state with roots in another state (Hawaii), elected to the senate for a short while, had a beautiful young family to show, a wonderful oratory, a fascinating life story, Harvard Law educated, Pres of Harvard Law Review, and ran a campaign never seen before on the platform of ending wars while reestablishing our image around the world via diplomacy, bringing back our economy from the brink, providing affordable health care insurance to more Americans, all after America had suffered 8 years under Bush, who was at the height of his unpopularity throughout the 2008 election.
Bernie Sanders is a male Senator running a people powered campaign in the Presidential Democratic primary against Hillary Clinton, and that is where their similarity ends, far as what I see.
Oh....and they both were/are running on Change,
and one is running on radical changes that I can't see happening due to the 2010 Census election that
gave us a gerrymandered congress.
If folks don't see the difference, then there's not much I can do for them!
