Like you, I don't have to fall in love with a candidate to know who's best positioned, and best suited for the job of POTUS. I don't think there has ever been, or will ever be a POTUS that I felt such a connection with as our current President. That being said, I opposed Hillary in '08, but the graciousness she showed to the party & to President Obama at her concession, showed me the type person she truly is. And once she accepted the position in the Cabinet, I knew that if she ever chose to run again, I would be in her corner.
Unlike some of Hillary's supporters, I can't claim any affection for BS, as I CANNOT stand him. I don't see things radically changing in Washington under a Sanders administration. The polarization we're currently dealing with will only heighten, and that's not good for the country. BS, much like Donald Trump & Ted Cruz, plays to an increasingly angry white & partisan vein that runs through talk radio & the many echo chambers that have sprung up on the internet.
If polling is to be believed, those of us who are NOT "feeling the Bern", are the ones who actually spurred the last president to victory. As for the Republicans, I actually think they are going to nominate Donald Trump, and despite predictions, I think he will be a formidable opponent to whomever we nominate, and that makes me nervous.
