52. Remember the Dean "Scream"?

In February 2004, Governor Dean was relegated from a people-powered front runner to something of a punchline over a one week period after the forces of the traditional media were marshaled against him on an innocuous little mic glitch. Everyone-- everyone-- piled on and all the People Power in the world could not save him.

He was well known among liberal activists and Democratic primary voters, but on the national scene, he was a blank canvas. So the media got to define him nationally as the "Scream" guy. Everybody had a jolly laugh and he was dead in the water. Overnight.

I love Bernie, but does anyone seriously think that a similar media onslaught is not in the offing for him if he becomes nationally competitive?

There is no one on the planet who has been more fully vetted and battle- tested than Hillary. With three SCOTUS nominations-- and eighty years of progressive legislation-- at risk, I'm going with Hillary.
