(53,154 posts)that any posts that don't affirm Sanders superiority equates to being an asshole. I have posted articles. I have expressed my views, backed by copious sources. I have not made the kind of insults the poster does above, and I most certainly have not engaged in antisemitism. In fact, I called out antisemitism that I saw posted during the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
I see a profound contempt for the democratic rights of one's fellow citizens. The notion that any speech that you don't agree with is uncivil or unacceptable, and that even are votes are illegitimate, should be troubling to anyone who claims to care about democracy or equality.
Neither of you bother to prove it because you can't. What you ultimately refuse to accept is that other people besides yourself have the right to their own political choices and views. That point has been made clear repeatedly, including claims that entire regions of the nations should have their votes discounted and that entire races of people are too uninformed to vote properly. Those kinds of arguments have been ubiquitous, left by juries, and display a degree of incivility and contempt for equality that I would never in a thousand years espouse, particularly in order to advance one politician's career. My guess is that is the very attitude that turned voters off to Sanders. Rather than learning from it, people continue to engage in that same behavior because at the core they believe yourselves superior to their fellow citizens, an assumption for which there is absolutely no evidence.
Voters have every right to make their own decisions. Deal with it.
