(13,889 posts)I can't help noticing that la Clinton still has about 25% more pledged delegates than Sanders (I'm not even including superdelegates in this analysis and I will relentlessly mock anyone who attempts to bring them up as a diversion tactic; you've been warned). So even though she is ahead in terms of the number of people who have already voted for her, and even though some of the most populous states have yet to vote, a bunch of people think she should drop out because Sanders has beaten her several times in a row in smaller states?
"Stop the race! The guy in second place has been catching up a bit, so the person in front should just drop out!" strikes me as a pretty absurd argument. If Sanders supporters were as confident as they claim to be, why wouldn't they want him to win in the conventional manner, by ending up with more delegates than she has?
