I never thought Hickenlooper stood a chance in the primary race. Didn't support him.

But, he's built a solid political career. Decades of service. And yet all the talk today is over his slip of the tongue. I'm sure he was pointing out that America's next president could very well be a woman, so it's as legitimate to ask whether she might choose a man as her VP as it is to ask a man whether he'd consider a woman on his ticket.

The way he phrased it was unfortunate. Now there's no way of explaining it away. That's all it takes these days to sink a campaign.

Doesn't bother me that Hickenlooper may be out of the race, but it makes me nervous that Buttigieg or another quality candidate (like Warren and her Indigenous ancestry issue) could get tripped up by something blown out of proportion.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
