so you would also expect candidates with more supporters to have made more responses, simply because there's more people to respond.

That explanation seems to fit some of what you are showing, but definitely not all! e.g. Warren has 21/15 = 1.4 times the number of supporters than Biden does on DU ... but 1/3 the number of positive responses to your question ... OTOH I don't tend to think of Warren or her supporters as the types who would not enthusiastically support the eventual Democratic Party nominee, especially relative to the supporters of other candidates.
