(18,252 posts)HRC gave it early into the roll call. It's not as if the NY delegation yielded so it would be dead last in voting and then she finally did it at the last possible moment.
In 2008 several of the states early in the alphabet did yield so that the NY delegation's turn (and the call for vote by acclamation) would happen early.
HRC's supporters were not "working behind the scenes" to make her the nominee. This can't be "looked up" in reliable sources because it never happened.
In 2008 when HRC conceded 4 days after the last primary, neither candidate had enough pledged delegates to secure the nomination. It's not as if she were mathematically eliminated in April and then waited 3 months to begrudgingly endorse.
Where are you getting this stuff from?
