Why waste the party's resources that could be put to good use in the GE just so we can go through the motions?
Trump has a head start -- let's give Biden a head start too instead of dragging him through the process so that some people's egos are satisfied.
Let me give you a math exercise --
If Bernie doesn't reduce his delegate deficit by 50% on March 7, he will need 70% of the remaining delegates - which is impossible to do. It is over. To reduce the delegate deficit by 50%, he will have to win Michigan by 16 points, tie in Mississippi and win by at least 10 points in Missouri. The more states he loses, the bigger share of remaining delegates he needs to capture. Where will he get it? The entire remaining terrain except a few states is favorable to Biden.
